After a series of desire-branded mobiles released and now HTC is planning for its mid range line by introducing the affordable “Desire 8” handset soon.The news is heating up with the leaked images and specifications.
The alleged HTC Desire 8 is expected to be announced with price and availability on 18 March 2014,but here’s hoping we meet it sooner in Barcelona later this month. The yet-to-be-announced mid-range dual-SIM device is said to feature a 5.5-inch display with an unspecified pixel resolution and will reportedly be the first HTC device to be released after the HTC Desire 700, as reported by My Drivers, a Chinese website. It looks that the smartphone might come in only one model with 16GB inbuilt storage with the microSD card expandability option, while the expansion limit remains unknown, but we expect it to be 64GB.
It has been also reported that the alleged HTC Desire 8 will include a 13-megapixel rear camera, ditching the UltraPixel technology first seen with HTC One. The handset will also include a high 5-megapixel front shooter with a ‘beautification’ mode, which so far has not been described in detail.The handset design is said to share the feature which has now become a signature in HTC handsets – stereo front-facing speakers. With dual-SIM functionality on board, the Desire 8 will be available in red, yellow, orange, cyan and white. As you can see from the photo above, HTC has given the phone dual front speaker setup.Desire 8 will be following the M8’s lead and adopt on-screen navigation buttons.Wait for the release and know how it challenges the mid range flagships in present market.
